I began my career as an engineer in fiber optics before pivoting to pursue intellectual property law. Today, I leverage my engineering background and passion for innovation to offer clients strategic IP portfolio solutions.

Duncan’s Experience

Duncan drafts and prosecutes patent applications within the mechanical and electro-mechanical arts, specifically focusing on technologies such as computer hardware and software, power generation systems, agricultural machinery, and consumer appliances.

Prior to joining D&M, Duncan gained valuable experience working in industry as a product engineer for a fiber optics manufacturer. His industry experience has allowed him to explore a wide range of industrial and systems arts while also working with a diverse group of industry leaders and thinkers. These experiences have provided Duncan with a solid foundation and the necessary tools to serve his clients’ IP visions.
