Dority & Manning is proud to announce the election of Allison L. Richmond and Seth E. Jones as Principals of the firm. Allison and Seth have been practicing intellectual property law with Dority & Manning since 2011.

Seth specializes in strategic patent portfolio management and has extensive experience in drafting and prosecuting both U.S. and international patent and trademark applications. Seth’s practice includes supporting and advising clients by preparing patent related opinions of counsel, performing due diligence investigations, and drafting agreements involving intellectual property issues.

Seth graduated from Washington & Lee University with a Bachelor of Science in Physics Engineering and earned a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Florida. Seth received his J.D. from The University of Florida Levin College of Law.

Allison focuses her practice on managing complex patent portfolios across various industries. She also has extensive experience managing global trademark portfolios. She has broad experience in drafting and prosecuting domestic and international patent and trademark applications and assists clients by preparing infringement opinions and validity analysis of patents, negotiating and drafting license agreements, and providing patent related opinions of counsel.

Allison attended Virginia Commonwealth University where she earned a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Biomedical Engineering. Allison received her J.D. from Wake Forest University.
