J. Parks Workman Elected Principal
Dority & Manning is proud to announce the election of J. Parks Workman as a principal. Parks has been practicing intellectual property law since 2007. Parks has extensive experience in prosecuting domestic and international patent, trademark, and copyright applications. Parks uses his technical background in electrical engineering to prepare and prosecute patent applications in a variety of technology areas, including software, graphics, data analysis and management, electrical devices, electronics, communication systems, power distribution systems, renewable energy, semiconductor processing, industrial systems, and other technologies. Parks also assists clients with complex transactions involving intellectual property issues, including the preparation and negotiation of license agreements, collaboration agreements, software development agreements, intellectual property transfers, and confidentiality agreements. Parks has significant experience in preparing opinions of counsel related to patent matters, including opinions related to infringement, validity, and right to practice. Parks also assists clients with intellectual property disputes, including representing clients in infringement litigation and in post issuance proceedings before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
