Rhoades White, Joseph Probst, and Anand Patel Join Dority & Manning
Dority & Manning is proud to announce the hiring of three attorneys, expanding the firm’s already deep capabilities in the mechanical, electromechanical, bioelectrical, electrical and chemical arts. All three attorneys are registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and are members of the South Carolina Bar.
J. Rhoades White earned a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Vanderbilt University, and a J.D. from the University of South Carolina School of Law, both cum laude. Rhodes served as an Articles Editor for the South Carolina Law Review and published an article in the South Carolina Law Review entitled, “Products Liability Law for Design Defects in South Carolina: The Aftermath of Branham v. Ford Motor Co.” In law school, Rhoades received the CALI award for Income Tax and for Wills, Trusts, and Estates. Rhodes was admitted into the Order of the Wig and Robe and Order of the Coif. Rhoades has worked at an enviromental consulting firm, involved with electrical generation regualtion compliance, and has interned at General Electric, working on control systems for gas turbines. Rhodes will initially work with mechancial and electromechanical matters at the firm.
Joseph J. Probst earned a B.S. in Bioengineering from Clemson University, magna cum laude, with a concentration in Bioelectrical Engineering, and a J.D. from the University of Washington School of Law, high honors. In law school, Joseph interned with the Honorable Randall R. Rader, Chief Judge of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit and was selected as a Washington State Bar Association Intellectual Property Section Scholarship Award Winner. Joseph also served as an Executive Board Member for the UW Moot Court Honor Board and published an article in the Washington Journal of Law, Technology, and Arts entitled “Loaded Question: Examining Loadable Kernel Modules Under the General Public License v2.” Joseph has patent prosecution experience in areas such as multi-threaded environments, advanced metering infrastructure, image stitching, and the manufacture of semiconductor wafers, thermoplastic moldings, and fuel cell catalysts. Joseph will work in the electrical, bioelectrical and electromechancial arts at Dority & Manning.
Anand K. Patel earned a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Clemson University, magna cum laude, with a minor in Chemistry, and an M.S. in Chemical Engineering from North Carolina State University, where he was also a Ph.D. candidate from 2006 – 2012. Anand received his law degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Anand has conducted extensive research during his graduate and undergraduate education in numerous areas. Anand also served as a chemical development intern for a leading global health-care and pharmaceutical company. Anand will work in the chemical, biomedical, biochemical, electrochemical, and mechanical arts at Dority & Manning.
