Dority & Manning is proud to announce the election of Anand Patel, Rhoades White, Joseph Probst, and Erik Sivertson as Principals of the firm.

Anand Patel specializes in strategic patent portfolio management.  He has extensive experience in drafting and prosecuting U.S. and international patent applications as well as assisting with patent claim construction for pharmaceutical litigations.  Anand’s practice also includes supporting and advising clients by preparing patent related opinions of counsel, performing due diligence investigations, and drafting agreements involving intellectual property issues.

Anand graduated from Clemson University with a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering and earned a Master of Science in Chemical Engineering from North Carolina State University, where he was also a Doctoral Candidate.  Anand received a Juris Doctorate from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Rhoades White focuses his practice on managing complex patent portfolios across various industries, both domestically and internationally.  He also has extensive experience drafting and negotiating agreements involving complex intellectual property issues for large corporate clients, non-profit entities and universities. Rhoades further assists clients by managing extensive trademark portfolios, negotiating and drafting license agreements, and providing patent related opinions of counsel.

Rhoades attended Vanderbilt University where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering.  He received a Juris Doctorate from the University of South Carolina.

Joseph Probst has extensive experience in patent protection, and other forms of intellectual property protection, for high technology industries. His practice includes strategic patent procurement, counsel on infringement and licensing issues, and intellectual property due diligence and negotiations. Joseph participates in national and international seminars educating high-technology companies and law firms on intellectual property laws that affect emerging technologies.

Joseph received a Bachelor of Science in Bioengineering from Clemson University and earned a Juris Doctorate from the University of Washington School of Law.

Erik Sivertson focuses his practice on patent procurement in a variety of high technology industries. He assists clients with patent portfolio management, infringement and invalidity analyses, intellectual property agreements, patent risk management, and due diligence investigations. Erik also assists clients with IP litigation cases before the USPTO, including Interference proceedings and Inter Partes Review proceedings.

Erik graduated from Washington and Lee University with a Bachelor of Science in Physics-Engineering. Erik received a Juris Doctorate from The George Washington University Law School.
